Q. How do I apply for an Athens Account?

  1. Go to hselibrary.ie and select ‘Set up an account’ under ‘OpenAthens’ . 
  2. Next fill in the online form. 
    • To do this, you will need your Employee number and email address. 
    • Please use your work email address where possible. 
  3. You will receive an email to activate your account.  When you activate your athens account you will also create your password.
  4. You are now ready to access resources by logging into the e-library on hselibrary.ie under ‘OpenAthens’ select ‘Login’.
