So what is the Lenus repository?

Answer

Lenus is the HSE Library’s database of Irish health research and health publications. The documentary output of the HSE itself in included, as well as some 130 Irish health organisations past and present. New work by health researchers is added regularly, and healthcare professionals are encouraged to make their research available in Lenus. Everything in Lenus is available on an Open Access basis.

LENUS can be searched on it's webpage lenus.ie.

For searches in Lenus, enter a subject term or title / author into the search box at the top of the page and hit return. The list of results can then be filtered by clicking on ‘Show Advanced Filters’.As the native search mechanism is quite basic, complex search strings are not advised. Using inverted commas when searching by title is recommended, e.g. “A vision for change”. It can also be useful to search the repository via Google, which you can do by clicking on Settings (bottom right of the Google home page), then Advanced Search, entering your search terms and narrowing your results by site or domain and entering lenus.ie in that field.

LAMA, the HSE Library chatbot can also search the main Lenus collections for you, using a full text search. Type Search LENUS when using the chatbot on the library homepage www.hselibrary.ie

You can contact the repository at lenus@hse.ie
